The Olympics are here!!! We have caught the spirit of the Opening Ceremonies and are off to Olympic Park to see what we can see! We get to Olympic Park along with what appears to be the rest of London! Is anyone minding the rest of the city??!!
We couldn't get into Olympic Park but Heniken was happy to let us into their beer garden! Great jumbo screen broadcasting the events. Spent a bit of time here grabbing a bite to eat and consoling some out of towners on their frustrations on not being about to score any Olympic tickets. They were still drowning their sorrows when we moved on!
This was a common scene as we walked back through Westfields to the Tube.
Ran into some South African athletes headed into a local casino. Do they know something we don't???
We met some fun folks along the way! Big guns around here but always had a smile and kind words.
I think people watching is a great sport in itself! I loved getting out and just checking out the pulse of the city....
